Mediterranean Picnic
In the morning, in order to embrace a cozy and fresh sensation, we like to walk towards our rocky space by the sea, our secret place. As we get closer, we begin to intuit its proximity by listening to the timid and almost imperceptible waves, its saline perfume announces that we are about to arrive.
A summer in Mallorca invites you to explore the unique rock formations that surround us and provide privacy; walk and discover small natural pools that in winter are covered with crystal clear water and as temperatures rise they become tiny “Cocós”, natural salt containers. Our summer liturgy is based on the simplicity of enjoying each moment: cooling off in the sea, laying out our favorite cotton beach towel, a moment of reading to create our own aura of parsimony with the environment and, of course, sharing our blown glass kitchenware and wooden tables with the necessary snack to spend the morning and savor the picnic by the sea.
The first thing when we arrive: a dip to enter the sea and let ourselves be carried away by the cool current of the morning. Immerse yourself and escape from everything mundane, a pleasure.
After the well-deserved bath, we enjoy our quiet corner and relax under the warm Mediterranean sun and the natural beauty that surrounds us. Sometimes while reading the book that you have chosen as an accomplice, you let yourself be carried away by the sound of the sea and the movement of nature while the exact reading point where you were before flowing in that symbiosis with nature is lost. You smile, you smile at him for no apparent reason and before returning to reading you take off your hat to submerge yourself again in that marine universe, of blues and transparencies in continuous movement.
From our heart of palm basket with which we have come, we prepare our glasses, wooden table and glass jug to arrange our food still life with drinks and foods that provide freshness and energy.
Take a walk in the surroundings and explore paths that meander through the pines where admiring the winding coastline is wonderful. In Mallorca we always have secret places and hidden coves that make us feel like we are in an authentic natural paradise. If you have your own, enjoy it and keep the secret.
